Professor Alex Sims is in the Department of Commercial Law at the University of Auckland Business School. Her research, teaching and publication interests include blockchain and various aspects of digital technology.

Alex regularly appears in the media and is a tech commentator on RadioNZ. Alex has been a member of Blockchain NZ’s Executive Council and was an independent advisor to the Finance & Expenditure Select Committee’s Inquiry into Cryptocurrencies.
